VAMPIRE FACIAL® FAQs

  • One of our professional estheticians first places hyaluronic acid dermal fillers in strategic places on the face to restore lost facial volume and lift the desired area of the face. Platelet-Rich Plasma is then applied to enhance these results by stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin through natural growth factors. This procedure is noninvasive and only requires topical anesthesia. The procedure typically lasts about one to two hours.

  • Because it is a noninvasive procedure, there should be minimal downtime. If you do experience any side effects, those will typically be minor burning, itching, or swelling around the treated area. Patients are typically able to return to everyday activities the next day.

  • The appearance of your skin will steadily improve for two to three months after treatment and the results should last up to two years.

  • PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. This substance is derived from the patient’s own blood and can be used to rebuild tissue and reduce telltale signs of again. You can learn more about PRP on our PRP page:

  • The Vampire Facial® is a great option for adults of any age. However, if you are taking a blood thinner, have a medical condition related to your blood (e.g. HIV, Hepatitis C), or currently have skin cancer, this treatment is not recommended.
