What is Blepharoplasty?

Surgical upper eyelid blepharoplasty is a cosmetic procedure aimed at improving the appearance of the eyelids. It involves removing excess skin, muscle, and fat to address droopy or puffy eyelids. This will result in a more rejuvenated and youthful look.

The Procedure

During the procedure, incisions are typically made along the natural creases of the upper eyelids to minimize visible scaring and re-establish normal and youthful eyelid creases without the droopiness that occurs with natural aging. the procedure is done under local anesthesia in the office. this involves injecting numbing medicine similar to what you would encounter at the dentist, but there is little pain during the injection

Recovery Time

Recovery usually takes 3 months for the appearance of youthful eyelids. Rarely do patients have black eyes after the procedure. This does not affect the final appearance and no post-operative pain medications are needed.
